Hint, used Curved forceps under the middle of the needle on next to the pin.
Red gear if all the teeth are on the gear a single careful drop of super glue on the end of the shaft, is all that is needed.
If teeth are missing then a new gear is as much as 40 bucks USD.

I followed your guide when I replaced the rear parcel shelf on my cabbie a couple of months ago.
Unfortunately, I am not brave enough to attempt the clocks and would still have the problem of the digital clock being blacked out.
I was hoping to be able to send it to an expert to service these parts, if anyone know of someone they trust.
Cheers

Your box of many parts sounds very interesting The offending instrument holds the odometer and is for the 1.8 engine showing the 1540 code on the front plate. If you had one of those that you thought was working prior to becoming part of your box collection, that might do the trick. Please rummage and let me know. Cheers.

If yours is an mfa screen it may not be fixable. I bought a new screen and contacts from a guy on ebay but it didn't work (side note, trying to fix that is how the foil board got damaged) but Crazy quiffs said those don't work on earlier (pre late 80s) cars and he can't fix them.

Thanks for looking. I am not sure if that clock will record the correct mileage for the car.
As I understand it, the code relates to the size of engine and wheels. So the 1540 is the revolutions per mile.
I will keep looking to see if I can get it sorted.
Cheers
Thanks.
