Help !
1. Main lights (low beam ) not working, but smaller h3 high beams working. The tiny 'side' lights on the main lights work but not the main part of the light
2. windscreen wipers are also not working
3. high beams work but they dont stay on only can push the bar forward and they come on .
I have checked with my limited skills in auto electric.
1. fuses all seem ok
2. looked at the main bulbs and changed no difference.
3. looked at the light switch on the right side of the instrument panel seems loose etc, pulled it apart and put back together nothing looks out of order.
From research ? but was wanting help
not sure how but one of the stalks not working ? the windscreen wiper one perhaps ? not sure how that would effect lights or i need to replace the light switch unit ?
Thanks all for the help !

If you didn't check the fuses with a meter, sometimes they go bad and you can't see it.

I hold my finger on the load reduction relay while turning the ignitiion and feel a click, but nothing working. I can then assume this is the culprit ?
And ill get one ordered. I might not have the skiills to bridge things as i have read in other forums to check they work !
Again amazing help thanks again. John

I would order an ignition switch just in case. Read the above.

I am patiently working towards recommissioning a similar car which has been off the road for about 10 years. I encountered LOTS of electrical issues including the ones you describe.
I ended up by simply working through all the electrical connections cleaning and/or replacing spade terminals as I went along.
The low point was dismantling, cleaning and re-assembling the "CE1" fuse unit - including soldering up a couple of the fuse terminals so that contact was re-established with the fuse blades.
My stalk switches were also corroded. Difficult to get at but they can be cleaned up. I did invest in some electrical contact cleaner aerosol spray.
Not for the faint hearted but thankfully there is very little on these cars that can't be fixed with a voltmeter and a test lead or two.
Good Luck!

Hi guys. I am having same sort of problems. I have replaced my light/ indicator stalk to no avail. When light switch is ON the light stalk does not stay on main beam. When I try main beam the wipers start moving with lights on. Heater doesn't work full stop. Wiper stalk doesn't work. Lights on or off.
Try the load reduction circuit.

I bought a new relay , not fixed. Took the ignition key switch and it is cracked. It's on order. Shame I didn't check when apart but it's only 30 minutes work
On earlier cabbies that is correct, on later Airbagged units it is a wee bit longer.
