car will start when cold but not once warmed up,if i turn it off and stright back on it wont fire.

Hi my name is Gavin and I have recently brought myself an 83 GTI project, ive replaced the fuel pump , fuel filter, accumaltor hoses (both) , the accumulator itself, fuse box and relays (not sure if it should have a hot start pulse relay as in pictures it says it does but I cant find a part number??), coil pack, new fuel, injector cleaner but NOTHING seems to be working :(. once it is running it is fine but it will not restart until it has cooled down. PLEASE HELP any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

its possible the seals have gone in the fuel pressure regulator, was a post on this one recently with sizes. umnplug the 5th injector though in case its firing when it shouldnt.

when you replaced the pump did the new one come with a non-return valve or did you have to swap that from the old pump (the fitting in the end where the fuel line fits)

ideally get the fuel pressures checked, this will tell you straight away if its loosing residual pressure after switch off or not

no hot start pulse relay on our mk1s, was an uncommon feature in america and possibly some euro countries.  with the fuel pump what relay do you have in slot 2
