Help needed identifying the engine code

1982 cabriolet. We have just started this as a project and are struggling to make out the engine code….. have cleaned up the plate and can make out the numerals but can't see the prefix. Can anyone help with the id for this engine. 20160927_202609.jpg 20160927_202600.jpg

Maybe a daft question, but have you checked what's on the V5?

You can't see the code from the tag so we may need to guess…

as per Hairyarse check your V5 also there were only, i think, 4 or 5 prefix codes - DX JJ JH KT EG :thumbs:
