1.8 8v injection misfire / judder on acceleration

Hi
having problems with my 1988 clipper 1.8 8v fuel injection.
it misfires / judderes on acceleration, worse when cold but gets bit better when warms up.
has had new fuel filter , lift pump , dizzy , leads , coil , usual service parts.
have been told by garage could be mass air flow?
any ideas or people who have had similar problems
