First, if you are still using the original battery cables even with new ends, they are an issue.

Using new off the shelf cables that are 100percent clean will give you more operating voltage and current flow.

If you place the car in Neutral, Parking brake (e-brake) full on turn the ignition key to run, not start.

Take a Battery jumper cable from the Positive terminal of the battery and jump it to your starter solenoid wire if the starter doesn't start and spin, then your starter is bad.

Ignition switches go bad, and with a DVOM you can test for 12V at the starter solenoid switch when you try to start the car.

As a quick test of the Grounds you can use a battery jumper set, Jumper the Negative post to a good frame connection, use the other wire and Jumper from the Battery negative post to the Engine block.

If the car starter spins you have a grounding issue.

Read my signature about coffee, divorces and electrics.

To be Truthful the average mechanic knows very little about electrics, ohms law, or how electrical things work.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

No got rid of the old ones and ran new ones off the shelf . car previously had a little trouble turning on as iwould have to press the key kinda hard to get it to engage to turn on istarted having problems as it would not hold charge determined it was the alernator . battery . And old terminal cables that might have been causing the power issue the mechanic said so ihad all those things replaced brand new along with timing belt fuel injection pump and several goodies mechanic said the starter was good as he tested it before finishing the car to get it runnig good again because that was my first intial though on why it didnt get enough power . He said it was going to be possibly the ignition switch or a cable for the ignition switch that needed replacingas he started the car for me by pulling on the ignition switch cable or something to turn it on instead of having to push start it . Ididnt get a good look on what cable he pushed or pulled to get it to start . Ijust ordered a ignition switch to see if thats the problem . Im going to test jumping the starter to see if thats the problem tho im not a mechanic and dont know much . But any ideas on how the mechanic mite have started my car without push starting it . And also istarted to hear a buzzing sound when icranked the key is it possibly dead battery from being hooked without using or does the GLOW PLUG sensor make a noise when theyre going out ??????

Diesel engine or Gasser?

Does the Battery have a Charge.

Sounds as if your Mechanic was throwing parts at it.

It is a diesel . I checked yesterday and battery was dead so that takes away one of the reasons why it was making a noise when cranking . Yes ithought the same thing but it was a one owner car and hardly anything was ever replaced so i was eventually guna run into problems . Fluids drained and retopped . New battery . New alernator . New water pump . New brake lines . New timing belt and valve cover gasket new battery terminal and cables new shocks and calipers . Only main thing needed replacing would be starter but it had tested good thats why he didnt change it besides that it was just the ignition problem and radiator fan that wasnt kturning on

There is two other sides that arnt connected nor

Can i find anything else to connect it to what are they for ?
And my negative terminal is grounded to the tranny

bolt or mount idk what it is but iread grounding to

Tranny is not so good . Also if iwas to jump

Start my starter how do i do it touch the HOT with the ignition switch plug ?
