removing track rod end
Hi all, i am changing track rod ends on mk1 cabrio, i have changed the drivers side no problem but, the passenger side track rod end has no locking nut so how can i undo it without damaging the trackrod shaft?

Do you mean a locking nut on the ball joint where it joins the hub?
picture would be helpful?
If its removal of the ball joint from the shaft it should have a milled section where you can put a spanner - a good tip is to break the connection when its in one piece.

Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause

Are you changing it because there play in the track rod end?
If no play then I would leave it alone, you have a factory fit none adjustable track rod so to change the end you have to change the whole track rod and fit a new end.

im changing the track rod ends because when im driving, from 0-30mph steering wheel wobbles but goes when i go through 35mph but comes back when i reach 55+ mph

You can buy a Cabriolet Inner and Outer tie-rod to replace the one piece unit. I did that years ago on my 81 Diesel Golf.

When you take the one-piece track rod and end off, don't bin it. You want to assemble the new track rod and end, and adjust to the same length, before fitting it to the car. Put some copperslip or similar on the track rod threads before fitting the track-rod end. Fitting and tightening the track rod onto the steering is a bit fiddly as space is limited, but it is doable. Also check the condition of the rubber bellows that covers the inner end of the track rod - any splits is an MoT failure (or at least an advisory). It is easier to replace if you are doing the track rod as well. I bought my track tods and ends from ebay seller tierod69.
