Tailgate

Could somebody advise how this retaining clip is removed off the tailgate rod. thanks

The rod needs be gently prized out of the ciip first (towards the left as viewed in the picture). After that, clip can be gently eased out of the lock lever.

Take it slowly as the clip may have become brittle with age

Hi thanks for the reply I thought as much but was conscious of either bending the tod or breaking the clip I ll give it a go when there is a break in the weather.
