Stainless Exhaust Options - please help me decide!!!

I need to make a decision once and for all as to what exhaust I am going to put on my Mk1 following the complete restoration I'm completing.  It is a tintop 1.8 8v with a stage 2 head, Audi throttle body and WUR upgrade, and will be mated to a VW Heritage stainless 4-2-1 manifold.

I am drawn to the Supersprint 60mm race system, but apparently they are difficult to source now and I can only get a single silencer system.  I know they are the best quality out there, but for the front pipe, middle pipe and rear silencer it's going to be over £600.  I've listened to a few youtube videos and they do sound lovely, but would appreciate some real opinions from owners with these systems.  The system would consist of 322305 front pipe, 322313 centre pipe, and 322324 rear silencer.

There is a VW Heritage stainless system, this is unbranded but made in Germany ( https://www.vwheritage.com/wc253g102-stainless-steel-exhaust-system-vw-spare ) but I cannot find much info so if anyone has this system please let me know what you think.  It is much cheaper at around £400.

I previously had a Jetex mild steel system and really liked it, but I don't like the tailpipe on the stainless system compared to the Supersprint.

Powersprint systems seem to be very popular in Germany, and have read they are made by Supersprint, but I am not sure about the upward swept tailpipe for me.

I could get a custom system, but I prefer the idea of proper mandrel bent system pipework than the multiple sections of small welded sections to create the bends on the custom exhausts.  I am also limited in Northern Ireland for custom exhaust fabricators and the quality seems to be very hit-and-miss.

I am open to other suggestions of course, but would appreciate any pics and real world reviews/opinions from owners with stainless systems fitted.

Why not keep the jetex?
I've got the Jetex system mated to an Ashley 4-1 manifold, all mild steel.

The material wont effect the sound just the longevity if the system

I want a new stainless system.  The original Jetex is not going to be good enough for the standard of restoration I have done.

I’ve got the Jetex stainless and a 4-2-1 manifold, sounds really good and hopefully will last forever, it’s been on for 5 years now no problems at all still love it and especially love the tail pipe looks awesome

If that is on a tin top, could you post up a picture as I am thinking of getting one albeit the mild steel version as the main pipe is smaller diameter better suited to a standard engine, but think the tailpipe looks the same.

Rich, this is the mild steel Jetex on mine before I took the car apart.  Its an excellent quality system and fits very well.

I have a magnex system stainless on mine , been on over 5 years now looks new still and sounds great

So after lots of research, I've just bitten the bullet and ordered a full Powersprint system.  It is almost identical to the Supersprint 60mm system but much better value for money.  The custom exhausts (Longlife) are probably fine, but I just don't like the look of all those small welded sections to make up the tighter bends, and prefer a proper manufactured single section of pipework straight onto the silencers.

I'll obviously be updating my resto thread once I receive the exhaust and eventually get it fitted (which will be a while yet).

I'm thinking about the powersprint exhaust to. But some German "friends" told me that you have to take the manifold from Supersprint, that this is made to last a lifetime, all the other cheaper brands out there are going to break sooner or later.

The rest of the exhaust they say you can easily take from the cheaper brands. But again that's there opinion.

What's yours, is the powersprint manifold solid? Did you experienced any fitting problems?
Did you choose the 4-2-1 or 4-1 model?

I had already bought my stainless manifold from VW Heritage as per link below, reason being this one is made for RHD Mk1's (I specially asked them about this and the steering boot before ordering), whereas all the rest are for LHD and run very close to the steering rack rubber boot.  Only time will tell once it is fitted, and getting any info on them was very difficult, but the quality of workmanship in it seems to be very good.  I will need to get a flexi adaptor made up to mate the manifold with the 60mm Powesprint system, but this is not an issue.  I'll update with pics on my build thread when I get to that stage.
