Speedo cable

Hi everyone, I have a 1983 mk1 and the speedo cable keeps coming away from the dials. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it? Thanks 

Bad Transmission/ engine mounts, or that the cable isn't clipped tight.

You can remove the divers side vent, and worm your arm into the hole and re-clip the cable.  But I would suspect that you have some worn out mounts.
