If you follow the indicator wires back into the engine bay you'll find that there is a connector block.
If you pull the two connectors apart you can then run spades from the connector block to your new indicators without chopping original wires.
Have you thought about LED indicators from a motorbike? They've what I've used.

I’m thinking of cutting where I’ve marked and putting spade connectors onto it which will the. Connect to my ring light if you get what I mean? Then I’ve still got the original connector at one end
