rear wiper motor

Hi

I am trying to locate a tailgate wiper motor from a citi golf. I replaced the tailgate during restoration. I purchased the tailgate from Heritage but didnt realise they are for a citi Golf. The rear wiper motor mounting holes are on the wrong side. I have the original motor but dont really want to drill new holes and have the old ones welded and then repaint the whole tailgate.

Any help welcome

Can you extend/modify the brackets on your wiper motor to fit the citi golf tailgate. That's what I would try and do. It might be tricky if you haven't got welding kit to glue the modified bracket together tho'

I think if I cant source a citi golf motor I am either going to leave it off or replace the tailgate for a good used original.

Have you asked heritage if they will take the tailgate back?

Sadly its on the car and painted. They should really let you know before you purchase these are from South Africa!!

To add to this does anyone know where to get a Citigolf tailgate and wiper linkage from in the UK?

Same as the OP I have a heritage tailgate fitted and painted and no-one noticed the hoke is in a different place.

Does anyone know where to get one from please?
