hopefully a yes or no answer
Standard 239mm discs and gti calipers.
Is the front of the caliper (closest the ground) meant to tuck under the carrier or not.
No matter that I try it wont squeeze under but all the bolts do line up.
Thanks guys, see pics below

Is there any copper grease on the ends of the pads which slide along the new shiny anti rattle guides, can help with moving the pads in and out when you press the pedal…

Almost sounds like a personal problem….."couldn't resist."
If you buy new hoses buy the SS braided internal teflon ones for the front and rear, Last longer and don't swell under pressure so you get a more firmer feel to your brakes.

I have got a Goodrich braided set, just 3 lines, 1 for the rear I assume but the fronts dont look as if they will be long enough.
I picked them up on ebay not long after I got the car because the kit was cheap but starting to think it was a hasty purchase

for certain things I stay away from ebay, save for moogie (mk1autohaus) as he is a legit VW head, and I have been buying from him for years.
If you would of bought from VWHeritage or Werks34 you could be assured of proper fitment.
I know some dubs have the proportional valves on the rear of the car for weight/stopping and am unsure of the number of lines needed for those situations.
My Cabriolet has the proportional valves on the MC and run hardlines to the rear then they split and have rubber flexures over the axle to hardlines to the wheel cylinders.

Have since wasted more money on 2x male to male adapters to fit the rear hoses on the front calipers as well!
Looks like I will have some spares after all this
