Hi all, i have a split in one of my power steering hoses. I found a replacement online but at a costly price [emoji2359] does anybody know the ID of the hose highlighted below?
Thanks

Power Steering hose
That’s the correct part number mate, I needed the size of the hose as the correct part is expensive.

Just measure the Diameter of your PS res, and then that is the size that you need I would add that if you are going to buy bulk hose and make your own, which others have done, that you source Oil rated hoses that you can usually buy at a Hydraulic shop. And use those hose springs to maintain the curves and such so the hose doesn't crimp. It isn't a pressure rated hose as it is gravity feed to the pump.

As Briano says, it's not on the higher pressure side of the system, so you just need to whip it off and measure it or take it to your auto parts shop and match it with some hose suitable for carrying oil.

And don't forget the hose will stretch a bit and squish a bit so it's not an exact science, it's likely 6, 8 or 10 mm, just buy a longer length so you can work out the route without any kinks. The genuine pipe will be moulded with the bends.
