Paint and code

So I've checked the paint code in the boot and it's L96F  xc  and option A45 which should be Brazilian Brown but my car is Green. By the looks of it it has always been green(might be blue) It has a brown interior with what looks like another colour in the material, tan carpet, brown dash etc. Is there a reference to colours available. With the car registered in March 1983 would it be possible it's a late 1982 production.
The only solution I can come up with is the order was changed very late. The chassis plate, body chassis number and boot sticker all tie in with each other.

So I've checked and it's been green from new so the next thing is to try and match it. The best way of describing it is Quality Street Mint Green or blue or silver or….

can you send photo of the label? and car? sounds intriging....

The car is registered in March 1983.  I couldn't find the A45  or XC code either.

well yes thats annoying…. even the options is a bit vague as normally have more than that…,even down to gear knob, number lights,steering wheel type

😭 It's a GL model. So is it a Friday afternoon car? I do have a knee bar and I do like the Delphi Green though. I'll probably pull the door off and get it colour matched. The story behind that is I have a car that has Corvette C3 Yellow paint (read Gold) and they couldn't match it from a paint chip with the code.

Haha no such thing as a Friday afternoon car in Europe, UK and USA where strong unions in 70/80s possible. Maybe a different coding for USA. But could well be cars been painted before, and they did a good job, or repro sticker with wrong info.. in UK when I was a bit younger was lots of car theft, identity swapping,  so you could confirm with chassis codes, sticker, and scuttle tray areas, engine number means little as after nearly 40yrs the engine could have been changed a few times.  Also for old label it also appears pretty good considering how much stuff could have been chucked into the car over the years. Some nice colours available , and with all colour coding its irrelevent as due to sun and weather you will need to match aged paint work if touch up, here in uk normally they give you a swab of paint code with 5 different mixes to try match better.
