Noisy gearbox

So whilst I've got my Campaign on the road and historic road tax, running it is a good feeling after 8 years in bits - some jobs to do yet but annoyingly the gearbox is noisy.
When the clutch is depressed it goes quiet so defo gearbox whine.
Could it be the release bearing ? I've replaced it but may have got it wrong ??🤷🏼♂️ that would be the easy solution to replace….
If not think I'll have get a recon unit and get it fitted.
