Settling In

Hi folks, I have a 1982 1.5 carb golf which has ceased to live.
It has electronic ignition (which worked), a new coil pack, spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and arm and ignition switch but there's no spark.
What am I missing?! It worked one day and not the other.

As you have replaced the coil, have you checked to make sure it's all connected up correctly - you never know.
Does you car have the hall sender on the side of the distributor (if it's electronic, it should have). Would be worth testing that - it is basically what triggers the LT side of the coil to deliver the HT to the dizzy cap.
Worth getting hold of a Haynes or Bentley manual for proper test procedures, but this might help:
