New coil but wrong HT fitting?

Bought new coil for my Golf mk1 cabriolet. Resistance ok on primary and secondary, and also on the HT lead when connected.
But no spark when I start and the engine just cranks.
Is the issue the HT lead fitting? On the new one it’s a cylinder and old one is a pin. See picture for reference.
Any guidance much appreciated!

I should ask Heritage for the correct plug for the coil, you should be able to change the end of the lead to the correct plug easily enough AFTER you have made sure the new coil is giving you a spark.
P.S. keep clear of the wires whilst you are doing that, as you might get a shock.
