The guides say "remove and swap motor backplates" - but the MK3 motor I have has a plastic cover and no way of bolting the MK1 back plate to it………. thoughts please…..!?

Very many thanks.
I have today sourced another MK3 motor with a metal back plate. I will then have the option to either do as you have and bolt in the entire MK3 motor - and make a bracket like your excellent example (!) - or follow the chap on the YouTube video and swap the metal backplate. Only thing I note on the video is that he had to cut a small section off the mounting bracket on the car to get the motor in (as it sits on the right on the MK3 mod) Anyway - very many thanks.
By the way I have found the same issue with my battery moving around in the tray - even when the clamp is tight.
