Sorry, I posted this in General Chat already by mistake.
Can anyone post a pic of the correct layout and routing of all the fuel hose pipework under the car on a Mk1 tintop GTi.I have full stainless hoses installed from CrazyQuiff's for main supply and return lines, fuel tank to pump, fuel pump to accumulator and accumulator to supply line. The fuel pump is installed on a new stainless bracket (again from CQ's) on the rubber bobbin mounts, as well as being inside the original foam pump holder.
Everything just seems to be a bit tight for space around the pump, and the return connection onto the tank (short length of standard rubber fuel injection hose) is very restricted for space as it comes out right above the fuel pump foam.If anyone can get me some detailed pics of the correct original layout that would be a great help.
My new CQ fuel line from pump to accumulator has failed quite significantly due to a manufacturing defect on the crimp so while this needs replaced (good job I spotted it on the drive, 5 bar fuel leak through a reasonable sized split = a significant volume of fuel spray), I want to re-do the routing of all the hoses. Many thanksPeter

Not yet bud. Working at the minute so can't get near car, but have just ordered the replacement hose from CQ until I can return the burst one to him for refund. I really want to cut this failed hose and examine the failure point as I'm concerned about it for the rest of them now.

Hi
I've just done mine - see pics
Mine were a VW set so you would think they'd just drop into place - but no !
The clip in bottom left is a red herring on the GTi - that's what I've found anyway (See last pic). I also replaced the lock clips on the bulkhead with some self tapping home made straps as the originals were quite weak to hold the springy fuel lines. Pic 3 shows the existing clip which I replaced. The fuel lines then go onto the clip on the N/S chassis leg.😏

Cheers for those pics Adolf, it actually the routing of the connections around fuel tank, fuel pump & accumulator that i'd like to see. Don't suppose you have any shots of these? Particularly fuel return to tank, fuel pump to accumulator.

Hi Pistol
I've got these too, do these show what you want ?
I've not put my fuel pump on yet as waiting the brake pipe set from Crazyquiffs - the brake pipes route behind the pump so pointless fitting it all up
Let me know if you need any more closeups my Golf is on her side so easy to take pics of stuff

Good stuff - glad you got it sorted Pistol, glad to help.
They are a bit confusing. I had no idea how they went, but I've got a few pics off restoration threads - I took screen shots of things I found might be useful.
Fitting the engine bay was a nightmare for me 😩
