Hi guys wondering if anyone can help me I've had everything new leads dizzy cap and more, 3 weeks ago I was driving my 5 door and it started to bog down and sound like a dirt bike, proper misfiring.
After crawling the car to a freinds houses black smoke coughing out the exhaust and carb, it wasn't starting at all, I've found out the timing belt was very loose at the front facing me and after replacing that it still isn't starting
Any help would be greatly appreciated or anybody who has some 1.5 or 1.6 engines or heads for sale feel free to give me a pm.

The Cam has a dimple at the rear that should be even with the plane of the head.
The Diz rotor should be in the middle of the hash mark that was stamped on the edge of the housing.
Over here we don't worry about the stamping on the pulley's we worry about the way the marks as mentioned. The intermediate shaft just spins the dizzy and the oil pump so as long as the rotor is in the middle of the hash then it is in time.
That would be firing position of the first plug, then the others are clock wise 1-3-4-2.
I would verify that your timing is on, then worry about your points, and or condenser, as well as coil

Start with step by step diagnosis. Find the simple fault before you waste money on engines worse than your own.
Ignition is a good place to start.
There are sparkrite inserts onto each plug so you can see when running the spark.
And basic compression test.
Oil getting into the combustion chamber will soon gum up plugs, but should last a few miles new.
Gather enough info to make good decisions.
Diagnosis is difficult enough with the car next to the person. We've no idea of its history, or work done, not so easy here.
If there is any aftermarket electronic ignition bin it and get beru points etc…
Only fit European made parts or could be new and faulty.
