Fuel pipe rear of car ...

I have a mk1 golf and i filled up petrol today ran the car to get it warm didnt drive it around.. as i was just cleaning up the car i noticed fuel leaking directly underneath the car at the rear , it was leaking alot… But noticed it was some sort of mesh pipe which holds a metal pipe into it and some sort of clip to hold the pipe into the mesh.
No other place the fuel is leaking just that one place.
I wanted the name of the pipe and possible causes? As this unuseal never happend to me before.
I will try get a picture of it. Okay so got the pictures I found that the mesh has a whole in it so fuels coming out from that. How would i fix that? Rubber pipe?
Thanks

looks like the rubber pipes need replacing, however take care as the steel fuel lines are rusty and fragile.

while I got a few members on this post, I wanted to know would a MK3 Golf GTI 8V 2Ltr fit into my mk1 golf engine bar? I know I may need to relocate the mounts.

Unless you are really keen and have the tools and facilities etc etc just buy a GTI.
You still need a GTI gearbox, poss drive shafts?, exhaust, steering rack and gear selection rods, fuel lines, tank, fuel pumps and accumulator and associated wiring/relays. Radiator and water pipes different. Need to cut and reweld one of the engine mounts. Then prob really need to upgrade suspension and brakes to GTI spec. Then the insurance companies will kick you in the goolies when you want a quote as you will have a modified car, that's still not really a proper GTI and so won't be worth as much as a genuine GTI when you come to sell.
It's easier to list the parts that are common between a small block car and a big block injection model.
It is possible and has been done buts its not just as simple as a straight forward engine swap.
In addition going to a later MK3 engine will needs lots of extra wiring and electronics.
The small block cars are now quite rare and can be worth quite a bit if kept original
