Loss of vacuum when accelerating? *pics included*

Hello. I seem to be experiencing a loss of vacuum when accelerating. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Or is it just how Mk1 Golfs are? The first picture is me driving normally. The second is when I accelerate showing poor vacuum on my gauge.
