Lock Cylinder Key Code - Sequence

Post

I've disassembled my lock cylinders in order to get the 7 digit code.
My question is, if I were to order a new key from VW using the code, which order should I give them the numerical sequence?

Using the example in the pic below, would the code be read as A B C D E F G or G F E D C B A?

Cheers

If your Door Locks are Original, then you can take your door handles to a good locksmith and they can cut a key for you. That is if your door handles use the same key.
Same for your Trunk lock.

On the original locks they had the Key code usually stamped on them.

If you are lucky, and the person you bought it from still has the VW KEY number fob on it….

As on my FOB it starts out with the key blank needed as in AN or AH then a series of 4 numbers.

In the Oldie Days I could run in to the Dub Dealership, and from my Vin, (title in hand) they would punch me a new key.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

I'll look for the code on the locks. Cheers
