The Hazards work, the indicators don't.
Hi,
I've got my Golf running!!! Still has no dash, and the wiring looks more like a rats nest than standard.
The parking lights work.
The dash indicator lights glows green.
The dash indicator light goes bright green when the indicates are operated, but they don't flash.
I took the relay out, cleaned it with electrical cleaner spray.
The hazards now work.
The indicators still don't.
I fitted a second hand relay from Crazy Quiffs, no difference.
Is there another obvious fault, or is the second hand unit knackered?
Thank you.

That is a sign that your higher numbered fuse for the turns is blown F19 or so….
Hazards are a low number fuse the turns higher, and the
Hazard switch has a bare wire blue/black that is live going to the switch that if loose shorts out the higher number fuse to the ground wire right next to it.
best tip is to take that bare wire and place a bit of heat shrink on it.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my DIY Links?

Boo, that's not the issue, all fuses (a bit fury, so cleaned up) are in good order.
I'll dig the Haynes explains out 🤣
