Recommend a good replacement
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good replacement ignition coil for a 1990 1.8 Cabby? It's standard spec with a carburettor but not sure what I need to order for the replacement or if there's a decent upgrade I should consider.
Many thanks,
Steve

I would just get a standard replacement one, Bosch is what VW would of fitted from new.
This is if you have the saw tooth/ pin style HT leads…

How old are your HT leads, spark plugs, dissy cap and rotor arm? If more than a few years old might be worth replacing them as well….

Thanks Mark that's a big help. I had the dissy cap and pugs replaced earlier in the year so hopefully, a new coil will help it start a bit better.

Did you fit a new rotor arm and HT leads?
