How to make mk1 Golf GTi pop and bang

Does anyone know how to make the Mk1 Golf GTi pop and bang? I've already got a full exhaust system change however I'm new to the car scene and would like to make this car pop and bang only for certain car shows and meets and kind of just for a bit of fun to see how it sounds!

Pop and Bang, are not show stoppers in my humble opinion, a well kept, tuned ride won't do that, you get more attention on a well cleaned and restored car than a
noisy one.

When my MG's carbs were running to rich, then I would get the rumble on a down shift. But then it told me that it needed to be tuned.
