Hi all, I have a 1991cabriolet GTI and was sorting few things out whilst there I thought I ll get my handbrake light out I was checking it I opened it up and saw that there was no bulb inside, I just want to know which bulb is correct one for it rather than struggle to find the correct one. Any help is appreciated.

Handbrake light bulb
Hi all, I got a bulb as mentioned by Briano1234 and the handbrake light only works when the lights are switched on (don't have 2 bulbs) so now I am wondering if one of the wires is connected to the light switch that it only works when they are on.

The hand-brake and seat belt warning is the only connector on the VW that you can plugin backwards.
Do you have it plugged in correctly?
It shouldn't be working when you have your headlights on.
Are you sure the e-brake switch under the e-brake has the ground wire attached when depressed it is 0 ohms. Also check that f18 is good.
Here's the circuit.
