Hand Primer - Fuel issues

Hi All,

past few months i am having major issues where the fuel isnt being picked up from the tank. I was hoping if someone could recommend a good  hand primer?

also its a mk1 cabby 1.8 with a webber carb. It does have a electric fuel pump in the engine bay, potentially it may not be strong enough picking up the fuel?? thsnks
