On edge of the door is a "c" section rubber with small flap, number 23 on the parts list piccy. There is also a hard PVC section, number 24 on the parts list piccy.
When I stripped my door before restoration, number was fitted along the angled top/front section of the door and along the top to within about 4cm of the top corner of the door. From there the hard section PVC (number 24) went around the corner and down the rear edge of the door to approximately the waistline.
AS FITTED
AS FITTED
IS THE ABOVE CORRECT FITMENT OF THE TWO PARTS????
Parts list states number 24, "shorten to 1180mm". If you do that then it continues up the rear of the door and almost all the way along the top edge of the door. Leaving only a small section of number 23 on the top??????
Would appreciate some photos of GTI door tops to reassure me of the correct layout before i get sticking rubber..!!!!!
ALSO, I see the original GTI rubbers had a small flange held in place by a" "triangular" plastic piece?????? See piccy below. The rubbers that came off do not have this extra corner section - and dont appear to be available anywhere anyway.

Item 26,
No longer avail means that you get to recreate it I would imagine a small black plastic flat shaped to a Triangle with a hole in it to place a
nylon finger keeper.
