are the door seals different on a gti tintop than a standard tin top!seen some for sale which go all around the door and some which only seem to be at the top of the door frame!it does state its for a gti

I would go to the ETKA and look up the part numbers for the various seals and then look at www.vintagerubber.com as well as the uk, and danish sites.

There are two seperate seals on some models, one goes all the way around and one for the top just as you pointed out.
I know my GTI has two, but im not sure which other models have both? or whether its just GTI's
The seal that goes all the way around is obviously fitted to all models (again there may be differences in years that I am not aware off)

Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause
