gear stick knob removal
A little silly this I know but I am planning to purchase a new gear stick knob for my golf cabby. how do I remove and replace it. is it a simple case of screwing it off or is there a a process I need to follow?

Not that I've wanted or needed to change mine but they are screwed on so I think it's safe to say they unscrew.
Now I don't think there's a locking nut at the bottom of the knob unlike some but check just in case!
So what I'd try first is putting the car in say 5th or reverse (to restrict lateral movement) take it with one or both hands with a slight downward pressure and turn anti clockwise, to the left when you look from above the knob.
Sorry I can't try mine as I'm nowhere near it at the moment.

Yes they just screw off unless someone has glued it on if they had one of those silly handbrake and gear stick lock they used to sell a few years ago.

Hey dude… they simply screw off… i've recently renewed my gear stick gaitor - due to prev. owner fag burns..
when replacing, screw on until it's firm with the 'digits' facing.. don't over-tighten..
