Going to highlight what I see as a genuine problem for this forum.

It's not a rant, and it's not aimed at everyone - there's still plenty of genuinely involved members, but it is a red flag and the hope is by shining a spot light on it, at least some visitors will take heed.

Like any forum there's those who contribute more than others, and that's not an issue.

However I'd contend that if you ask for help, at the very least there's an onus on you to acknowlege the fact someone had taken of their time to do so, should it only be by clicking the thumbs up.

It encouages them and others to contribute further… this forum, like many others already have, will cease to exist without sufficient input.

Don't treat it soley as a help-line when you occasionally need something answered.

All too often I'm seeing members answering queries (and in quite a bit of depth at times) or asking for more information so that they can better reply for the original poster to just ignore it.

Treat the forum and others on it better than that… there's a wealth of archived material because of past contributors, ask yourself would you miss the forum if it were gone?

But for Newbies, the Year and Model Auto or Standard are other things that are nice to know in the post upfront.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

Id say ive been guilty of this from time to time although my mum did always teach me to say Thanks [emoji3526]. The main stay dudes on here who answer 80% of the questions (like the two in this thread) are awesome. Thank you chaps

What drives me crazy is not knowing if the problem someone has asked is solved, it's always good to know and can help others out if searching for answers to a similar problem.

I'd miss this forum as it's been a great help and I hope I can help others out when I can.
