First Engine Start up issues

Evening All,

First fire propper fire up of the engine and I've got a few problems.. sorry if this is a long, boring description but any help would be greatly appreciated.. : ) I'm learning as I go

Background..
Restoring a 1.5 auto, converted to webber 36tlp. I've fitted the Engines and gearbox to the car as they weren't in it when I bought it. Coolant and fluids all added etc.

Issues
- leaking from the back of the exhaust manifold, I'm not sure if this is that the bolts need tightening or a leak from somewhere..

- Overheating - The fan isn't coming on, I'm not sure if the thermostat isn't kicking in or if there is an electrical issue.

I am missing a cable for one of the oil sensors..



 

Has anyone had anything similar?
