Engine bay plug and socket

Morning All,

I spotted this plug and cable unattached while swapping the breather union. Its hanging on the right side of the block above the gear box. Does anyone know what they're for? Im assuming that they go together?

I would look to see if your reverse lights are plugged in.  

Personally I wouldn't plug them together as one is a ground plug (brown wires) and the other colored either a signal or a power feed.

Thanks Briano1234 I thought they same with the plug being ground. Reverse lights work so I guess Ill trace them through winter
