Great many thanks - i clumsily snapped one of the outputs with my arm
I've done 2 over the last 20 years….. the spare outlet/inlet with the green cap on it. This time I just taped up the hole.

What is the best way to bend the pipe - its plastic (hard) and is stuck in a U form near the valve. I was thinking of applying some heat… I have tried hot water but not boiling and its not really worked. Any tips on getting the tube in the right shape, form?
Thanks!

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.

If you can get a spring in it to retain the inner shape be careful as with out it you could collapse or kink the tubing. I have seen folks that break that pipe and then remove the check valve and use hose. So all is not lost if you do kink it.
Thanks!! That's a relief! As they do sell them without the shrink tube.
