Dash light switch bulb Rivage!!

After finding a replacement bulb and resoldering I can't understand why my working bulb now does not light up the switch?? If your familiar with the switch the bulb is pushed into the red plug and sticks out the other side and I can see by looking into the back of the switch that when clicking down it that some terminals grab so short it or something??? So I'm left with a bulb on all the time but can't see any light 😡. Has anyone had this same problem, cheers

I had the same issue after replacing my burned out bulb with a SUPER Brite LED, the issue was that the bulb wasn't far enough (led) up the socket to allow the lumination to get out to the switch.  So I pushed it further up.  This is on a cabriolet….

Just popped in the garage and pushed it in further and I can now see the light!!! Cheers for that, I take it the bulb does not turn off then? So the switch is lit all the time. 👍🏻

I don't think the switch should be lit all the time, I've just checked mine and the light switch lights up with the ignition and the other switches (hazards, fogs and rear demister) light up with the side lights!

Sorry mate I mean with ignition on. So bulb / light switch always on when ignition on.
