Hi all,I need some help with my least favour job electrics,when I switch my ignition key on,the oil and battery flash,they go out when started and seem to be working OK,why don't they stay on,then go out when started,I know they should flash if there's a problem any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sounds normal to me. As soon as you are spinning the engine, the pressure needed to open the Low Pressure switch is sufficient to make it go out.
The Battery light once the alternator is spinning fast enough will go out as well. Only worry if it comes on while you are driving it.
