It's the corners which take most of the tension of the cable so consecrate on those areas.
I guess who ever replaced the roof last time just ignored the surface rust on the lip instead of treating/painting it before fitting a new roof…

Yes I would bless those areas as well, but the rear tray holds the cable and the vinyl when closing or opening.
You will either have to find a donor in the breakers and weld in a new channel then paint to match.
Chortle may have a source for new channel bits.
