Car cover

Can anyone recommend a decent car cover for my MK1. She lives outside and gets used on weekends only (all weathers). Looking for something relatively reasonably priced. Maybe £30 to £50. I know nothing about covers but many seem breathable I guess this stops condensation and therefore the dreaded rot. Thanks Craig

Hi

I picked up a decent one off ebay for £40.00, I use it for the same as what you describe you need. Same as the one in the link below:

Just a word of caution ⚠
Make darn sure it fits well each and every time you fit it.

We've heard of some real horror stories of lower price ones rubbing on the paintwork when the wind gets up! 😕

And lets face it, when isn't there wind in the UK.  😂

Lidl sometimes have excellent quality ones in for very little money.
Have used one for months on a Rocco outside without problems.
Put old soft  bed sheets/blankets over car before fitting cover- as this stops any rubbing!

I recently bought a new one off Demon Tweeks - due to the next door neighbours cat abusing my other one! picked & ripped the hell out of it!!! little shizzle!!
anyway the one i got is breathable, when fitting the 'small' on my car it was SMALL!! about 18"s - 2 foot off the ground! so got my other one on top no probs as there's attachments that go under the car so a good resistance to wind… BUT… a lot of these covers they recommend you only use for 4 days continuous, then take off to 'breathe' unless you pay over £100 for a top notch one… as you may find it starts going green with damp etc, they really do… just a pointer
