Cabby Headliner parts

Help in finding a supplier of headliner webbing brackets.

Ive stripped the roof on the Cabby and the only issue is this bracket that holds the headliner straps to the rear corners. Does anyone know where I can get replacement ones?

I don't know the official name of that part but to call them "headliner webbing brackets" is inaccurate and you're unlikely to get any hits on that search term. They clamp and allow adjustment of the webbing on the rear of the hood.

The diagram on ETKA is a bit unclear but I think its:

155871261 - retaining panel left
155871262 - retaining panel right

A Google search shows that VW Classic Parts can do them in 2-3 weeks for £8.88 and £7.37 respectively

Try grinding the rust back to clean metal with a Dremel (or similar) then treat the metal with Jenolite (or similar) then repaint?

X2  That is really heavy gauge steel, and only is used to keep the Strap taught.

Sand it down, prime and paint.  I really like that self etching rust convertor primer.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Cheers for the info Paul. I didn't see your post till now and I took the plunge and repaired them. Cut the bad section out, used same gauge of steel and weed in some new sections.
