Bonnet hinge clip

Hi all. Been trying to locate this part but dont want to pay the £16 I've seen.
Any ideas as to where to look for one with a bit more of a realistic price.

Have some one 3d scan it and 3d print it out.

I have never seen a clip like that, I suspect it holds the bonnet rod down.

Sorry Briano. I should of said. It clips around the bonnet hinge inbetween the two dimples so it doesnt slide up and down the hinge.
It holds the two wires for the heated washer jet but i'm fitting one on the other hinge to hold the washer jet pipe.
I've also relocated the pipe through the bonnet reinforcement to keep it a bit neater instead of hanging down.

Ah an option we don't see over here.

As far as re-running the line, it is best to use a piece of hard nylon line and insert it through the grommet on the raintray, then hard affix it to the Hinge with a wire tie then poke a hole in the rubber cover on the edge of the hood and run it from there over to the washer jet, when it comes out the hood frame, then you use a brass Barbed fitting to let it ride and not collapse on the hood to rain tray seal.

You could do the same for the electric, that is run them up the hinge with enough slop for the opening and closing, then through the rubber cover and over to the heater.

From the Jug to the grommet feed keeps rain drain clean.

Hardest part was fishing the Fish tape to that corner cover of the bonnet… I did it from the cover hole to the large one, then from the large one to where the hole was to exit the hood frame near the washer.

Keeping stuff out of the rain drain is imperative…..all stuff including hoses… that large round thing with the yellow hose is my Check Valve/Vacuum res, allowing me to get rid of the balls that my a/c needed.  Also keeps that line out of my way, if you don't have a/c you would see another line dangling…. :


You could do the same for the wires… would look neater and you wouldn't have to find a 9 pound clip as a couple of wire ties are cheaper.

Yep they are fitted on mk2's aswell. Nothing wrong with the one in hand but I'd like one to clip on the drivers side bonnet hinge so i can clip the windscreen washer pipe to it to tidy up the engine bay a bit.

ah i see. maybe loop the heated jet wires to the other side for a neater run? or move the washer pipe to passenger side instead and run it under the scuttle. grab another mk2 pipe/jet wire clip to match the one you have holdign the jet plug up then it will hold both the wire and hose.

I use mk3 golf washer hose for a neater look, black and shiny

I never knew there was a clip to hold the wire etc to the bonnet hinge, I've got a cable tie holding mine in place.
