If you jump the Starter solenoid wire, to +12 Battery with the car in Neutral, and the Parking Brake full on.
Key in and the run position.
When you jump the wire to the solenoid on the starter the starter should engage, and the car will start.
That means that the Ignition switch is bad.
If the Starter doesn't spin, you need a new starter.

I need to know how you've wired up the coil.
I presume you're running the late mk2 TCM unit on this one.
It's probablu power to the coil that your missing.
I used the black wire that used to go to the carb as the warmer. Check that it's always on and running at 12v.
You should have the green and black from the TCH unit running to the negative points on the coil and the red with black stripe running to the positive.
Then run the thick black from the thick black from the original carb wiring to the other positive side.
Let me know how you get on

Ok, the starter spins the engine.
But the Engine never Catches and runs?
As turning over and running are two separate things.

Wow!
Erm
Did the other engine run ok?
Are you trying to use the original coil or have you got one from a T-25?
You need to remove all the wires that were originally on the carb and the wires that originally went to the dizzy as they are no longer needed.
I'd suggest you also have a look at all the rest of the wires and see what is actually required and what isn't.
Looks like you have a lot of fuse holders that probably went onto the battery directly. These aren't standard. Do you know what they go to?

Well I for one have never seen anything like that before.
Shocking, sorry but it must be said!
Well take good notice of what Ian said above but seeing that even I couldn't live with that under my bonnet and I'd go to a Professional to get it all sorted out no matter what the price is if I want a car that isn't likely to catch fire at any moment!

Yeah the other engine run ok
I got a wire loom with the engine but I've just tried using what I already had in
Is it wise to have the loom put in?? I also got a coil with the engine I'm using that one
Is there any recommendations for some to sort it in the Manchester area I'm not bothered how much it cost??

You got an engine loom with the engine you fitted, I presume that loom was working with that engine at some point yes?
Take your old engine loom out completely if so and replace with what you were given.

The Engine came from Unityneil and it ran perfectly in his car. The engine and wiring were put together by a good friend of mine by the name of Vic (if you know mk1 Derbys then you know Vic!)
If you got the coil with the engine then you're sorted, but you will need to run the loom you were given as otherwise the engine doesn't know when to fire. Hence the not starting.
Shame you're up there and I'm in Cornwall as I'd gladly sort it for you.
