Are all rear seats the same?

Post

I have had the THIRD lot of seat covers arrive from TMI and they are wrong again, that 8 months nearly GRRRRRRRRR

The rear seat base is correct but the back rest is too long, where the catches are to locate on the top left and right rear, the ones you unclip to lower the seat, I have 4 inches more fabric so hence my question.

I'm no expert but I think the length is the same it's just the materials, colors and form that changes.

To me bearing in mind production runs back then to have changes in the length as they have more than enough changes to do in order to supply various tastes around the world.

Remember VW UK did sometimes dictate certain materials and patterns I know that for a fact because I worked as a car salesman back in 1983 for a main Dealer.

Sorry I can't be of any more help but it seems to me like if no one has a definitive answer that they are getting their measurements wrong.

It does happen when sometimes with people going back and forth between feet and inches and metric!

If my seat fitted this cover the top of the seat would be approx 100 mm above the parcel shelf, did any models have that set up I wonder.

My seat frame dimentions are 500 mm from top to bottom.

Yes the US version of the Golf, Rabbit LS that I owned the top of the rear of the seat cushion was above the parcel shelf about 2-3 inches.  It acted as a roll stop.

I don't have any picks of it.

You see I new our cousin over the pond would know.
VW did that to support their big heads! ;)

Only pulling your leg Brian honestly. :)

But what was its intended for a "role stop" what is that because that's not a term we are familiar with?
Do you mean like some sort of support to prevent whiplash?
Because I don't think it would be high enough and more likely to break your neck! :(

Sorry again for the poor joke but I know you'll get me back when you're ready!
