Isn't that the Air Snorkel Hose, goes to the air box from behind and under the front Valance or slam panel as y'all call it?
You can use Pre-Heater hose it comes in a variety of Lengths is either usually Black or Silver can be bent and Twisted around things.
It is like DRYer discharge hose. I have seen folks do away with that and modify the Air Box to use PVC pipe from the hardware store to improve air flow.
Om my 90''s I used pre-heat hose and ran it from behind the Grille to the Airbox but Digi is a little easier to mod that CIS.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my DIY Links?

Yeah thats the right hose... so sounds like aftermarket is the only option then. Im not concerned about the work to fit as its just getting some flexi hose and clamping it on it was more I wanted OEM but if it doesnt exist anymore fine. Why was it wrapped in foam originally? Do you know the internal diamiter of the hose at all so I could find a suitable replacement?

If you still have the "hard pipe" parts you'll get a diameter off that

My cabriolet does not have foam around that pipe, it's just plastic, that's how the 88 Car came out of the factory.
