Evening,
i have purchased vw mk1 golf citi, 2009, 1.4l petrol as my daily drive. Not doing huge mileage, about 4000 miles per year. Absolutely delight with it, pretty basic, but love driving it.however looking to service the car. I have oil filter, plugs, air filter, but finding it hard to local petrol filter. Have gone to my local vw dealer, but doesn't seem to have the proper filter. The original petrol filter is vw part no. 17s201511c, both inlet and outlet have a almost 90 degree bent on the filter.wondering do I have to use the exact type filter or can I use a vw filter part no. 17s201511b, which has both fuel lnlets as straight but may have to use
longer fuel hoses. Lastly, using vw. synthetic oil, can I use a blue print oil filter or would I be better off sticking with Mann oil filter, since oil service intervals is 15000km.
