So I have a oil leak I think it is the oil sump.

Is it a straight forward job or does the auto gear box need to be dropped ? I've just had shoulder surgery so I need to find out how it's done.

B505 YYE is the Reg. I'm also having trouble finding the correct sump if you guys could help!

Thanks guys

The sump itself might be ok, as o said I I've had surgery so I'm in no position to be sliding under cars haha..

I had a bit of work done to the body last in the summer and the lad said I need a transmission gasket and oil sump gasket, so the sump may be ok., I'm not 100% sure what the transmission gasket looks like.

any ideas ?

never done one on an auto, but its probably similar to manual. some bolts between engine and box which are hard to get to, a wobble joint helps

sump there are 2 version the mk1 and early mk2 version is shallower then theres a later cab/rocco and mk2 which is a bit bigger. both will fit fine

If your going to drop the auto box off be warned that it is incredibly heavy-and a struggle to get back up and on (done that)
While its off IF you have starter problems by chance? Then  fit a new starter now! as its the only way you can change it, and, there's two types for different widths of starter ring.
Good luck.
