Engine cuts out
I drove the car for around half a mile, popped into a shop, got back into the car and it wouldn't start without me having to rev the engine for a while to get it to fire up.
Would it require a tune up and is it best to get this done by a local specialist?
Any advice would be appresiated.
Cheers.

Carb or injection?
What did they do at the service? Some places think an oil change is a service!

It could be a few things so more info about the car and Did the "gold service" include Spark plugs, dissy cap, rotor arm, ht leads?
How many miles has the car done?
Have the injectors been replaced before?
Usual problem with injectors is they leak fuel in to the cylinders when you switch the engine off so the car is running rich on start up but you will get this problem form cold as well as hot.
You can get the injectors tested.
Usally problem for hot starting is a accumulator as the injection system loses pressure, there is a screw at the back of the accumulator undo the screw and if petrol comes out the accumulator as had it.

Thanks for the info I will check the Injectors and maybe change them for good measure.
They did a lot of checks as ticked on their list but didn't actually say if they had changed the plugs etc. the car has done 112,705 miles.
Many thanks,

Injectors also seem to be expensive at the moment, £240 just for 4 injectors!
Hows your fuel filler neck and fuel tank?
Make sure they are clean and the injection system is in good condition.
