Winter!
I just wanted to see if anyone else was having problems now it is cold? My cabby has been converted to a 'manual' choke - lovely to drive once it has warmed up but before - well! I am thinking of changing it back to an automatic choke - any ideas????

mines very rough on acceleration when i start it up cold, and sometimes cuts out even with the choke out, bearing in mind its the wrong carb for my car, if you rev it a little when the revs drop it runs fine! deal with it i say, brings charechter (sp) to a car
i live to dub....

Not sure about the automatic choke.. I've got an automatic one, and it's not too good at starting in the cold. Don't know about in the warm, I've only had it for a month. I've worked out the trick now of holding my foot flat on the accelerator while trying to start it up, then letting it warm up for 5 mins or so before driving it anywhere.
Several people have suggested fitting a manual choke to help during the winter, so I can't imagine an automatic would be better for your car.
