who has the higest miles on your mk1

i will start with a mesley 127,000 :dontknow:

28.000 on the clock, but fairly sure its been round once or twice :roll:

my current mk1 has 66000

but my last mk1 had 178000 8O

178000 thats high did it still have a bit of omff

86k & 96k, guess i'm not gonna win this one then.

Odometer says 68,000 but…
MOT from donor car says the engine had done 72,000 before it went into mine (5 years ago)
MOT for my vehicle (original engine) just before swap says just over 82,000

So current engine could be upto 140,000 but the rest of the vehicle could be higher.

My D-VIN '83 Mk1 had 210,000 miles on it when I sold it earlier this year - it now lives in Ballymena, Northern Ireland…

my dash reads 580000

159k and pulling strong as!

in fact got me highest top speed the other day on me mates private airfield of course!!

theres one down the road from me on 225k now thats  8O

I'm figuring about 250,000 for me. Had the car 10 years now, 2 engines 5 gearboxes. Latest addition to my 'driver a 5 speed box !

135,000 which i thought was quite good until now, how have so many of you got under 100k?????

Mine was first rego'ed March 1985 - 101,000 miles (almost 22 years) I reckon this is an average car - about 5,000 miles/year - which does seem low but there are plenty of very low mileage cars (16,000 - 30,000)  out there and not that many really high milers - so could be about on average

mine has 167000 miles on the clock, it did have 160000 miles on the clock. I       love my golf. it still pulls like a tug boat. *bows to VW*
Daily driving in a mk1 is great. Until it rains of course, then the sunroof leaks!! but you still suprise most people you meet….

the highest of all the mk1's i've owned/own is my 1982 y plate which was on 185,000ish

but, after some 0-60 runs down a unfinished new road it blew up……….

64000 on the sportline. Averaging 3000 a year at the moment. 8O

old skool cab on 84k, Black SOY cab on 68k, Mk1 Golf GTI on 210k - but its had new engine at some point so doesn't count…
